How Function Coffee Co. came to be
I started drinking coffee at the ripe old age of Child. My earliest coffee memory? Standing in my grandparents’ kitchen in Beeville, TX, when my mom handed me a red mug filled with coffee, a tidal wave of milk, and six scoops of sugar.
It tasted like liquid magic.
Fast forward a few years: my taste buds grew up (slightly) as I spent years working for coffee shops in New York City and Los Angeles, soaking in the craft, and culture that shaped my love for specialty coffee.
After returning home to Texas, I set up a Bellwether electric Shop Roaster—which produces 87% less emissions than traditional gas roasters. And the rest is history. Function Coffee Co. was born from equal parts passion, curiosity, and a desire to build something that truly serves the community around us.
