I love to cook and serve others.

Cooking and serving brings me joy. I have been told that hospitality is one of my natural gifts. If that is the case, great because hospitality is how you make others feel better. Serving and enjoying a meal with my wife, friends, family and strangers fills me up. It is not just the cooking or service alone, it is the experience that happens when we dine together. Everything slows down when the food is good. Conversations linger, the food tastes better when eaten at a slower pace, the pleasure of a meal can be felt in the room when the magic happens. In Spain they call it Sobremesa.

While friends and guests have been at our table, they have made comments about how easy I make it look to get food on plates and later sharing how delicious it all is. It was at the urging of those gathered around our table that inspired the beginning of Le Sauce & Co.

Because my first jobs were in restaurants, I learned two things early that make cooking, every night now, a little easier. Number one, a little organization and preparation makes everything faster and easier. Second, the sauce makes everything better.

We cannot make you organized but we can make the hardest part of all meals the easiest, the sauce. The sauce or gravy can take 20-90 minutes on its own to make in addition to the meal, so we do this step for you using only high quality real food ingredients prepared the same way you would in your home only with a much bigger pot.

Fun fact: In fine dining, one of the most prestigious and important roles in the kitchen is the Saucier, pronounced, sôsēˌā. You may not know that most restaurants use very basic cooking techniques we can all do in our home. The transformation from simply prepared to delicious happens at the last step. Adding the gravy or sauce converts the simple into a meal worth savoring.
