It all started with two proud first generation Americans from different parts of the country. As a Guyanese-American born in New York City, Randy Pulayya grew up with delicious, flavorful food. He is passionate about making good food and learned traditional Guyanese recipes from his grandmother and mother who are exceptional cooks.
His wife Shauna Vo Pulayya is a Vietnamese-American born in Arkansas by an adopted Vietnamese woman and a refugee.
Together, they moved around the United States and lived abroad in South Korea and Vietnam and traveled the world exploring different places and experiencing all kinds of food. They understand what good food is and try to recreate it at home.
From all the culinary experiences they’ve had, they always found that adding a little spice to their dishes enhanced the flavors and made the meal more enjoyable. Randy’s homemade pepper sauce has been a staple in their home for years and many more West Indian homes for generations. Now, it’s time to take it worldwide.
Join WIPS on the journey to help everyone enjoy their food by spicing up their taste buds no matter what type of food they are eating for an authentic Caribbean taste.
